Snake Race: short boosts and a wrapping arena
Boost is useful for getting through an opening, but it consumes energy and sheds some mass. Food collected during a boost can hide that mass cost in the displayed total.
Play the gameWorked example
Hold Space briefly on desktop, then release it and watch the boost meter recover. In our checked example, energy fell from 100 to about 82 during a short boost. This is an example, not a fixed per-press cost: duration affects consumption. Crossing the right edge leads to the left side of the same arena, not another level.

Try this
- Point toward an open route before accelerating.
- Use a short burst to pass a gap, then release the boost.
- Watch the minimap and nearby bodies when crossing an edge; the opposite side is part of the same arena.
Common mistake
Holding boost continuously reduces your reserves. Do not aim at a food pile through another snake's body; a bigger snake still needs a clear route.
Practice
Make one brief boost, observe the meter after release, then cross an arena edge. Compare your position on the minimap before and after.
